The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is part of the Specialty Health Care Department and is a
** part-time
** role working approximately
** 64 hours per two-week pay period**. This position supports daily clinical and office operations by providing direct patient care and coordinating clerical functions to ensure efficient patient flow, quality care delivery, and a positive patient experience. The role works closely with providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver safe, professional, and patient-centered care.###
** Qualifications
* ** High school diploma or equivalent required
* Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
* Current Ohio LPN license required
* BLS certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
* Knowledge of infection prevention principles
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on urgency
* Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding and use of electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
* Knowledge of basic medical procedures and medical terminology preferred
* Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, teamwork, and a strong customer service focus###
** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide direct patient care under the guidance of licensed providers and nursing staff
* Perform a combination of clinical and clerical duties to support daily office operations
* Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient flow and diagnostic or treatment procedures
* Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and pertinent clinical information
* Collect specimens and perform basic clinical tasks as requested
* Schedule appointments, procedures, and referrals; obtain pre-certifications and authorizations as needed
* Answer telephones, greet patients, and manage patient communications professionally
* Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment in accordance with policies and infection prevention standards
* Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure seamless care delivery
* Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards
