Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for a 2nd-shift opportunity with a Sandusky food product manufacturer. You'll work both on the production floor and with quality-testing processes to make sure ingredients, in-process products, and finished goods meet established safety and quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with documentation and basic computer work, and interested in building hands-on quality assurance experience in food manufacturing.

• Inspect and evaluate ingredients, in-process products, and finished goods
• Perform routine quality tests and product evaluations
• Complete quality checks and audits throughout the production floor
• Collect samples for required testing
• Document test and inspection results accurately
• Enter quality data into computer systems and spreadsheets
• Identify and separate products that don't meet established specifications
• Communicate quality concerns to production employees and supervisors
• Complete product release and quality-control documentation
• Perform routine equipment calibration
• Assist with product shelf-life testing
• Follow established food-safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary testing and work areas
• Support continuous improvement, product quality, and workplace safety initiatives

Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, food production, laboratory work, manufacturing inspection, testing, or documentation-focused manufacturing may help you stand out.
