We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management or equivalent experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, and partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations.
The role requires analysis of store financial statements, commitment to the company’s asset protection program, promotion of the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a wide variety of products including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers and addressing issues promptly.
- Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
