HVAC Quotations Specialist

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. (no weekends)

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the HVAC industry and wholesale products
  • Ability to provide quotes to HVAC contractors in both residential and commercial markets
  • Plumbing knowledge is a plus
  • Assist with inside sales and counter duties
Job Duties
  • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
  • Read, analyze, and interpret data from sources including blueprints, specifications, proposals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
  • Communicate with suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarify information, negotiate pricing, and identify alternatives
  • Associate all cost information within the required timeframe of bid date and time needed by contractors, sales staff, and management
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve problems during the bidding process
  • Communicate with sales team and management to ensure quotations and resulting orders are complete
  • Provide appropriate prioritization of projects as new requests arise
  • Assist with project management from contract award through job closeout
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Set and continually manage project milestones with customers and suppliers
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines
  • Develop and provide status reports and effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
  • Identify business development and add‑on sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project
  • Work closely with sales staff, sales managers, and product managers to determine proper pricing
  • Properly format documents, store information using required company protocol, and update stored information to ensure accuracy
  • Act as an extension of the outside sales force to proactively grow product sales
  • Participate in product meetings, seminars and training to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge
  • Secure market level pricing feedback from customers and provide timely price information to sales and product managers
