Electrician

Green Bay Packaging is seeking an Electrician to support our manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on production and packaging equipment. In this on-site role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues on motors, drives, and PLC-based systems, and help ensure safe, reliable plant operation. You'll collaborate closely with maintenance and production teams in a family-owned, people-first environment that values safety, integrity, and sustainability while offering long-term stability, training, and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, and controls on production and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize downtime in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical components and PLC-based systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Ensure compliance with NEC, plant safety rules, and GMP standards
• Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to support production goals
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommended improvements in the CMMSSupport capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new line installations
• Participate in safety audits, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Required Skills

• Industrial electrical troubleshooting
• PLC fundamentals and I/O (Allen-Bradley or similar)
• Motor controls and variable frequency drives
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Preventive and predictive maintenance
• Use of electrical test instruments (multimeter, megger, etc.)
• Conduit bending and panel wiring
• CMMS and maintenance documentation
• Lockout/Tagout and electrical safety practices
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment support
