We are currently hiring an experienced Welder for a direct hire role located near Sandusky, OH. Primary Responsibilities- Execute MIG welding tasks across a diverse range of products and assemblies.
- Analyze and translate mechanical blueprints and technical weld symbols.
- Assemble and fit components in strict accordance with provided specifications and diagrams.
- Collaborate with fellow welding staff to contribute to the successful completion of large‑scale, intricate projects.
- Utilize TIG and Flux‑Cored Arc welding techniques as project requirements dictate.
- Examine finished welds to ensure all items adhere to established quality benchmarks.
- Maintain precise documentation of quality outcomes to ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Create and construct necessary jigs and fixtures to support production needs.
- Partner with the Engineering department to resolve technical challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Take a lead role in coordinating team efforts on major assignments to ensure project success.
- Provide guidance and technical support to junior welders to help elevate team performance.
- Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional welding experience.
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED.
- Trade school or high school welding certification is considered a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Capability to successfully complete a practical MIG welding assessment.
- Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings is preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass a standard pre‑employment math and measurement evaluation.
- Possession of personal tools required for fabrication and welding duties.
Openings are available for either 1st or 2nd shift.
