Utility Clerk

Transdev in Sandusky, OH is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee. The role requires basic vehicle servicing duties and a customer service orientation with a focus on safety.

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles (interior and exterior)
• Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
• Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluid usage
• Download drive cameras and fare box data
• Perform light maintenance in shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years’ experience
• Ability to work shifts and flexible schedules as needed
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical as applicable

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions 100% of the job
• Work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods up to 6–8 hours per day; frequently walk long distances on sloped or uneven surfaces
• Push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch for equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise

• Hourly rate: $18.00 – $19.00
• Vacation: minimum of two weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen
