Job Description

Riverview School is an independent coeducational boarding/day school that supports adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning, and cognitive disabilities. The school is dedicated to fostering student competence and confidence in academic, social, and independent living skills.

• Deliver instruction across a variety of subject areas.
• Use data‑driven instruction and meaningful assessment practices.
• Adapt instruction and materials to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members to address the whole child’s needs.
• Utilize technology to support and enhance learning experiences.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Massachusetts license in Special Education/Moderate Disabilities (grades 5-12) or eligibility for a waiver.
• Experience in an independent school environment preferred.
• Strong ability to incorporate technology into instruction.
• Exceptional written, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple demands.
• Passion for Riverview’s mission and the field of special education.
• Suitable background check results (CORI, SORI, DCF) and fingerprinting required.
• Current/valid driver’s license.
• CPR/AED/Standard First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
