Part‑Time Occupational Therapist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part‑time basis. This position is hand therapy–dominant, focusing on splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation. Candidates with a strong background in hand therapy are encouraged to apply, as well as those enthusiastic and willing to develop expertise in this specialty.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity and hand‑related conditions.
  • Fabricate, fit, and adjust custom splints for therapeutic and functional purposes.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, home programs, and joint protection strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in MA.
  • Experience in hand therapy preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow in this area is essential.
  • Skilled or willing to learn splint fabrication and upper extremity rehabilitation.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree in an accredited occupational therapy curriculum.
  • MA Occupational Therapist license.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred, or an interest to pursue certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for patient care and improving quality of life.
