Up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus available! Hourly rate ranges between $40 and $46, depending on the shift. Evenings, overnights, and weekends have shift differentials. Part-time openings on 3p-11p and 7a-3p. Full-time opening on 11p-7a. Includes every other weekend.
Job SummaryAs an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN to residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities- Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident
- Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under your care
- Follow physician's orders and render/assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders
- Transcribe physician's orders promptly and accurately
- Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness
- Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes
- Visit each resident daily to evaluate resident needs
- Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list
- Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary
- Administer medication according to procedure
- Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary
- Demonstrate correct safety techniques
- Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies
- Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions
- Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations
- Comply with facility Privacy Practices Policies & Procedures, protecting residents' individual health information
- Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program
- CPR certified
- Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license in Massachusetts, or be in the process of obtaining one
- New graduates welcome
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care
- Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
