MDS Coordinator at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, an award-winning facility!
As the MDS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and directing the MDS process, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care.
$42 to $50 an hour, depending on experience and license. Can be an LPN or RN.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the MDS process, including overseeing resident care plans and completing MDS reports
- Oversee ADL training for facility staff
- Issue and deliver denial notices and Medicare denial letters in a timely and appropriate manner
- Complete and transmit all CMS-approved item sets (MDS) accurately and efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with current CMS regulatory guidelines
- Ensure the confidentiality of resident health information and maintain adequate systems to support billed services
Requirements:
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university
- Must possess an active and unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN in Massachusetts
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and deal tactfully with various stakeholders
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations that pertain to long-term care
