Overview
The Maintenance Technician performs basic preventive and reactive maintenance duties to support the proper operation and maintenance of assigned water, wastewater facilities, lift stations and building facilities, under direct supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform basic preventive and reactive maintenance on water and wastewater facilities, lift stations, and building facilities to ensure proper operation and reliability (under direct supervision).
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 0-3 years' experience in water and/or wastewater field.
- Mechanical ability; proper and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Electrical knowledge or background preferred, not required.
- 6 months – 1 year experience in basic building maintenance and construction.
- Ability to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, diagrams and equipment specifications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and basic computer functions.
- OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company-provided online training).
- Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Valid US Driver's License.
