Description:

The Controller is responsible for accounting, tax, banking, A/R and A/P functions. This position manages multiple (7‑10) professionals and outside service providers. The individual reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions including A/R, A/P and tax.
• Coordinating and preparing US GAAP accounting for two held subsidiaries and consolidating Hold Co business results.
• Conducting monthly financial statement variance reviews with key stakeholders.
• Coordinating activities of external auditors and tax service providers.
• Providing management with information vital to the decision‑making process.
• Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for process and systems improvements.
• Owning controls over payables, receivables and cash management.
• Maintaining intercompany/cost‑center accounting and allocations.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting systems, supporting migrations, updates and integrations.
• Maintaining A/R aging and working closely with General Counsel to resolve billing disputes.
• Monitoring bank account balances and investment activity to support operations.
• Overseeing tax compliance and reporting.

• Expert knowledge of US GAAP and CPA credential preferred.
• Prior experience managing A/P, A/R and tax functions highly desirable.
• Comfortable performing and prioritizing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day‑to‑day activities.
• Comfortable working in a highly demanding start‑up environment and taking pride in building processes and systems for an emerging, fast‑changing organization.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities: ability to get along with diverse personalities and stakeholders, including investors.
• Experience working with VC/PE sponsors preferred.
• Experience running an accounting close process end‑to‑end.
