Entry-Level Staff Accountant

We are seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our client's growing accounting team in Sandy Springs. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years of accounting experience who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end close process.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare account analyses and investigate variances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
• Help prepare financial reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and other ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• 0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
