Martin Concrete Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager to join our growing Critical Projects Group supporting complex concrete construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.

This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional looking to grow their career while working on some of the nation's most complex and high-profile projects, including data centers, power generation facilities, waste and water treatment plants, and other mission-critical infrastructure. You'll work alongside experienced project teams to help deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and requires working onsite at active construction projects throughout the Dallas‑Fort Worth area. Travel may be required based on project assignments and contractual requirements.

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the successful execution of critical concrete construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Executives, and field teams, you’ll help coordinate project activities from planning through closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and logistics alongside Project Managers, Project Executives, and operations leadership.
  • Coordinate project execution onsite with field teams, clients, subcontractors, and project leadership.
  • Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Track daily field production using Bluebeam while maintaining weather logs, production reports, material tracking, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate material procurement and communicate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Review invoices, verify pay applications, and assist with accurate project cost coding.
  • Lead and document weekly project meetings to maintain communication and accountability across project teams.
  • Support quality control, punch-list completion, and successful project closeout activities.
  • Assist with maintaining project schedules and identifying potential risks before they impact project performance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer supporting large commercial concrete construction projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and concrete scopes of work.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, field personnel, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Plan Grid, and Microsoft Project.
  • Comfortable working primarily onsite at active commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas‑Fort Worth area.
  • Self‑motivated professional with a strong desire to learn, grow, and advance within the construction industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA Certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Tekla
