Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking a Middle School English Teacher beginning in August of 2026. HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students age three through 12 th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.

• Experience teaching all aspects of English literature, grammar, speech, and writing at the Middle School level.
• Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills.
• Commitment to collaboration and team teaching across disciplines

• Instruct five sections of English classes in grades 6-8.
• Oversee monthly advisory meetings with middle-school students.
• Deliver lesson plans and monitor student performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional activities and environment.
• Update and maintain student academic records and performance metrics.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students and colleagues regarding student progress.

• Bachelor’s Degree required. A Master’s degree in education or English is preferred.
• Prior experience teaching middle school English required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
