Position Overview
Time Commitment: 12‑20 hours per week with room to grow.
Compensation: $20‑50 per hour.
Tkiya is looking for an educator to lead preschool and family music programs in Atlanta and Sandy Springs during weekday mornings (10‑1) and religious school music on Sunday mornings. The role also includes occasional Friday and Saturday afternoon programs. Once the right candidate is selected and availability confirmed, there is significant potential for expanding responsibilities.
Tkiya provides extensive training and structure, so prior experience is not required; a willingness to learn and an engaging personality are essential.
Tkiya creates Jewish music experiences for people of all ages, working primarily with families and children ages 0‑5, school‑age children, senior citizens, and more. The organization partners with over 100 communities across the country including synagogues, JCCs, PJ Library, and other organizations.
Responsibilities- Lead preschool and family music programs in Atlanta and Sandy Springs (weekday mornings 10‑1).
- Teach religious school music on Sunday mornings.
- Conduct occasional Friday and Saturday afternoon programs.
- Participate in the provided training and development to grow the role.
- Basic skills on guitar or ukulele.
