Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Joel

A. Katz Music & Entertainment Business Program in the Michael

A. Leven School of Management, Entrepreneurship and Hospitality for the academic year . These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the area of music and entertainment business

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications

To teach undergraduate courses:

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Music/Entertainment, or a closely related discipline, is required at the time of hire.

OR

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Music/Entertainment, or a closely related discipline, is required at the time of hire. AND At least 7 years of professional experience

OR

  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.
To teach graduate courses:
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Music/Entertainment or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the music & entertainment business - understanding the industryu
    2019s financial and legal aspects, including but not limited to: contract negotiation, management, marketing strategies, trends, and technological advancements, leveraging social media and other digital platforms.
  • Experience in audio/video production.

    Background Check
