Pay: $17-$18 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience
- Ledgewood is seeking a caring and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to join our classroom serving children approximately 2.5-3 years old.
This is an exciting developmental stage as children build language, independence, friendships, and confidence while preparing for the preschool years. We're looking for a teacher who can provide a nurturing, structured environment while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily routines and learning experiences for children approximately 2.5-3 years old
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Engage children through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on activities
- Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions
- Support toileting, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive guidance
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
- Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with young children preferred
- Experience with toddlers or preschool-age children is a plus
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
