Job Summary
The Simulator Technician II is responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and operating various types of simulators used in training programs for the military, aviation, and other industries. The technician will ensure that the simulators are in good working condition and work with other team members to support Crew Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) and Ground Maintenance Driver Trainers (GMDT).
The position is located ning, GA, USA.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks- Perform routine maintenance on simulators, including cleaning, calibration, and component replacement in accordance with scheduled maintenance checks and services.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with simulators and work with other team members to resolve problems quickly.
- Maintain TADSS and Government Furnished Property in fully mission capable condition.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with technical data or, if not provided, according to best commercial standards, and maintain all documentation and tools.
- Conduct safety checks and inspections of simulators prior to use.
- Review and report facility issues that cause non‑fair wear and tear to simulator devices.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on simulators.
- Ensure that all simulators comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Work with the engineering team to improve simulator design, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of training equipment and prepare simulators for use.
- Provide technical support to users of simulators during training sessions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that simulators are available for use when needed.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in maintaining and operating simulators.
- Understanding of computer systems and software, including programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair them.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with other team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work effectively on a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a mechanical aptitude and a good knowledge of tools.

- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
