IT Technical Project Manager

Hybrid- applicants will be local to the Atlanta area and willing to go onsite IT Technical Project Manager

Duration: 6 + Month Contract with possible extensions

Rate: $50--$60 hourly W2 DOE

Location: Sandy Springs, GA, 3 days a week onsite

Our industry-leading client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join the data engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic data programs, managing multi‑team initiatives, and driving the successful delivery of scalable data solutions.

This candidate will have strong experience in Jira and Rally.

• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of complex data engineering programs across cloud and on- prem ecosystems.
• Build program roadmaps, define milestones, and drive accountability across all work streams.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and cross‑team impacts.
• Implement and refine project management frameworks, agile practices, and delivery processes.
• Track delivery metrics, budgets, cloud consumption, and operational KPIs across GCP workloads.
• Promote continuous improvement within engineering teams.

• At least 5 years of Technical Project Management experience
• Strong understanding of data engineering fundamentals
• Strong experience is Rally and Jira is a MUST
• Demonstrated success managing large, multi‑team programs in Agile or hybrid environments including experience in Jira and Rally.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Local to Atlanta and ability to work Hybrid Schedule
• Highly organized with the ability to establish and articulate a plan and progress toward goal
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to situationally adapt, engage and influence stakeholders on complex topics, at all levels for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available and that may result in pay outside of the range provided.
