Network Security Analyst

Requirements

• We need extensive experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise network environments.
• We require strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics clearly.
• We need experience partnering on projects and working directly with business stakeholders and end users.
• We require hands-on experience with Palo Alto technologies, including Panorama, next-generation firewalls, and Prisma.
• We need strong experience supporting Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and firewall technologies.
• We require experience with Solar Winds Network Management Suite.
• We need proficiency using Wireshark for packet analysis and troubleshooting.
• We require advanced troubleshooting experience with OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, firewalls, IPSEC VPNs, SSL VPNs, DMVPN, Spanning Tree, and network security.
• We need strong experience with Cisco Nexus data center architecture.
• We require experience with Cisco Client and Network Access Control (NAC).
• We need working knowledge of SNMP, Net Flow, IP SLA, and related network management protocols.
• We require extensive routing and switching experience with strong diagnostic skills.
• Preferred: experience supporting field operations in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Preferred: experience working alongside field support technicians and remote operational environments.
• Preferred: familiarity with enterprise network monitoring, automation, and configuration management best practices.
• Preferred: project management experience supporting network infrastructure initiatives.

• We serve as an escalation resource for network and application performance issues.
• We support and manage network monitoring and configuration management platforms.
• We provide technical support for field network infrastructure, including industrial switches, routers, and wireless bridge technologies.
• We use service management tools to create and manage service requests, outages, incidents, and change requests.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity, security, and performance issues.
• We assist with network-related projects and infrastructure initiatives.
• We evaluate and recommend new technologies, solutions, and best practices.
• We identify opportunities to improve utilization of existing technologies and applications.
• We coordinate network changes and scheduled maintenance activities.
• We communicate effectively with internal teams, field personnel, and stakeholders globally.
• We perform packet-level analysis and root cause investigations for network and application performance issues.

We are hiring a Network Analyst for a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Houston, TX, with a hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday and remote on Friday. We are a global enterprise networking team supporting critical business operations and infrastructure, and this role offers a pay rate of $55 per hour. The position focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise network environments while partnering with teams across the business and field operations.
