Field Trax Web Development Product Owner / Business Analyst
Location:
Atlanta, GA 30339 (On-site)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract with Possible Extension)
This role serves as the bridge between product management, engineering teams, UX designers, and business stakeholders to ensure that application features are effectively planned, prioritized, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Product Backlog Management & Prioritization
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product leadership to define and prioritize product backlog items.
- Align backlog priorities with business objectives, strategic initiatives, and product roadmaps.
- Ensure backlog readiness for sprint planning activities.
- Maintain traceability between Epics, Features, User Stories, and development tasks.
- Continuously evaluate and refine backlog priorities based on business value.
- User Story Creation & Refinement
- Author detailed, high-quality user stories with clear business objectives.
- Translate business requirements and UX wireframes into actionable development stories.
- Support backend and API-related story creation in partnership with technical teams.
- Define acceptance criteria, dependencies, business rules, and workflow requirements.
- Ensure stories are complete, testable, and sprint-ready.
- Agile Delivery & Sprint Support
- Support Agile Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Prepare and refine stories for upcoming sprint cycles.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure successful sprint execution.
- Provide ongoing clarification to development teams during implementation.
- Help remove blockers and support continuous delivery objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between Product Management, Engineering, UX/Design, and Business teams.
- Participate in feature planning and roadmap discussions.
- Collaborate with design teams to convert user experiences into implementable requirements.
- Facilitate communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive alignment on priorities and feature implementation strategies.
- Product Expertise & Functional Analysis
- Develop deep knowledge of the Field Trax application and workflow processes.
- Understand Coordinator, Dispatcher, Foreman, and Approver user journeys.
- Perform feature analysis and functional validation activities.
- Evaluate enhancement requests and recommend solutions.
- Support operational understanding and workflow optimization initiatives.
- Bug Analysis & Issue Resolution Support
- Participate in defect triage and issue prioritization processes.
- Analyze functional impacts of defects and system issues.
- Assist development teams with root cause investigation efforts.
- Ensure bug fixes are properly prioritized and incorporated into sprint plans.
- Support QA and testing teams during issue resolution activities.
- End-to-End Story Ownership
- Ensure user stories cover front-end, back-end, and API integration requirements.
- Maintain alignment across all application layers for successful delivery.
- Link related stories and dependencies across work streams.
- Promote cohesive implementation strategies across Agile teams.
- Support full-stack feature delivery from concept through deployment.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Agile Analyst, or related role supporting web-based applications.
- Strong experience working in Agile Scrum environments.
- Proven expertise in product backlog management and prioritization.
- Extensive experience writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience collaborating directly with software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application workflows and business processes.
- Experience supporting workflow-driven applications, field service platforms, or operational systems.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience supporting front-end, back-end, and API-focused development initiatives.
- Knowledge of modern web and mobile application ecosystems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements gathering skills.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with field service management applications.
- Knowledge of enterprise workflow platforms.
- Familiarity with API integrations and backend system interactions.
- Experience working with UX/UI teams and design-driven development.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience with defect management and issue triage processes.
- Quality and readiness of backlog items for sprint execution.
- Timely delivery of roadmap-aligned features.
- Reduced development rework through well-defined user stories.
