AWS Cloud Engineer

Summary:

Implement, automate, operate, and support AWS cloud platforms and services as part of an enterprise cloud transformation program. The role works closely with architects and delivery teams to build secure, reliable, scalable, and well-documented cloud solutions.

• Implement AWS infrastructure and platform services based on approved architecture designs, standards, and security requirements.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Cloud Formation for repeatable and controlled AWS environment provisioning.
• Deploy and support compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, security, and shared platform services in AWS.
• Work with architects, Dev Ops teams, application teams, and operations stakeholders to build and deploy cloud solutions.
• Configure Cloud Watch or similar tools for monitoring, logging, dashboards, alerting, and operational visibility.
• Support deployment automation, production troubleshooting, incident response, runbooks, and operational handover documentation.

• Hands-on AWS engineering experience with IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, Route 53, Load Balancers, Cloud Watch, Systems Manager, KMS, and security services.
• Experience with Terraform/Cloud Formation, Git, CI/CD pipelines, AWS CLI, Python/Bash/Power Shell scripting, and automation practices.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, monitoring, logging, reliability practices, and production cloud operations preferred.
• Proactive, collaborative, technically proficient, and strong in troubleshooting, documentation, and operational ownership.

• 5-10 years of IT experience with 3+ years of hands-on AWS implementation, cloud operations, Dev Ops, or platform engineering experience.
• Healthcare, payer, enterprise infrastructure, or regulated production support experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect
