Registered Nurses provide quality nursing services by working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The RN is the frontline representative of the patient care team, often serving as the intermediary between the patient and family, the provider(s), and other care team members. Responsibilities include participating in performance improvement initiatives, maintaining professional competence, developing others, upholding confidentiality, safety, and professional standards, and supporting Shared Governance.
CoreResponsibilities and Essential Functions
- Patient Care and Care Coordination
:
Monitors, examines, and evaluates patient conditions; assists with care planning and takes appropriate actions to promote short/long‑term outcomes and wellbeing; delivers care plans with independent judgment; collaborates and communicates plans with other staff; prioritizes daily patient flow and experience; adheres to policies and procedures; maintains documentation of assessments, changes in condition, care delivered, education, and incidents. - Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction

Listens to concerns, probes in-depth to understand needs, responds in a timely manner; provides education on health-related issues; communicates patient information to families, providers, and staff; embraces patient- and family‑centered care; prioritizes patient needs and provides input into care planning while maintaining confidentiality. - Performance Improvement

Seeks opportunities to improve the work environment and processes; contributes ideas for solutions and supports change implementation; participates in initiatives to achieve better patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and financial performance. - Professional Competency and Growth

Minimum Education
Associate’s Nursing or Diploma (Nurse);
Bachelors Nursing preferred.
- BLS‑I – Basic Life Support Instructor or BLS – Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS – American Red Cross Basic Life Support
- RN – Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT – Registered Nurse Multi‑State Compact
