JOB DUTIES

Under direct supervision of Nurse Manager or Physician.

• Coordinates the clinical activities of all clinical staff
• Greets everyone promptly and courteously. Assist patients from the waiting room to appropriate areas within the office verifying correct patient data.
• Keeps patients informed of any delays that cause them to wait longer than time expected.
• Help to screen “walk-in” patients for “sick” status
• Skillfully performs and documents vital signs, height and weight.
• Obtains chief complaint, symptoms and medical history as needed.
• Review chart to ensure age appropriate visit.
• Review immunization records at every visit to ensure up to date.
• Review patient visit history to ensure Check-ups are done yearly.
• Works extra if needed to meet the needs of the patients and office.
• Assist in answering telephones and handling accordingly.
• Medical Assistants may be required to assist the front desk
• Keep abreast of current developments in nursing by use of journals, conferences , seminars and further education as available.
• Performs any additional duties as requested by Nurse Manager, Physician or Practice Manager.
