The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence‑based nursing care
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- 2 years of experience in behavioral health, correctional, or emergency room settings
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Certifications in Cardio‑Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, which may include a drug screen and criminal background check
