NP, Pain Management
The Nurse Practitioner for Pain Management will be a full‑time opportunity for a board‑certified (or eligible) provider to join our Pain Management provider team. Experience in Pain Management is preferred, but new graduates with a serious interest in spine and pain management will be trained. The NP will also see follow‑up patients for chronic musculoskeletal pain, spine, and post‑procedure follow‑up.
The NP delivers healthcare services that are typically performed by a physician and are within the scope of practice of that physician. These services are provided under the supervision of an appropriate physician listed with the Georgia Medical Board.
Under physician supervision, the NP is responsible for the following: conducting comprehensive physical examinations and assessments; providing treatment; ordering diagnostic tests and, in some cases, ordering medications as approved by a physician; developing treatment plans; and counseling patients. The NP will clearly and accurately document all assessments, orders, procedures, treatment plans, and patient education/counseling in Health Connect.

- Assess patient status by obtaining health history through patient/family interviews and chart reviews; assess presenting illness, risk factors, family history, psychological situation, and cultural factors; and perform appropriate physical examinations.
- Order and perform appropriate laboratory diagnoses and other screening tests. Seek additional information as needed, including consultation with physicians and other clinicians, for evaluation of illness. Integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan, including identification of any health risk.
- Develop and implement treatment plans by prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with medical practice guidelines and state laws. Instruct patient/family regarding medications and treatments. Educate patients regarding health promotion and illness prevention.
- Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long‑term medical needs of patients. Provide monitoring and continuity of care between visits according to the treatment plan.

- MSN
- Unrestricted current APRN license in the State of Georgia
- CPR certification – current BLS
- Three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting
- Two years of nurse practitioner experience
