The Clinical Nurse Program Manager (CNPM) is focused on the overall nursing quality strategy to impact MGB quality goals guided by the high reliability framework. CNPM is able to articulate the concepts of a high reliability organization (HRO) and participate in all aspects of the HRO culture, including collaborating with local and MGB team members. Promotes evidenced-based practice, advances a nursing culture of safety and fosters a psychologically safe environment.
Identifies and works to mitigate risks. Embedded in clinical areas, the CNPM will audit and monitor practices, process measures, & provide feedback for accountability, to improve quality patient outcomes.
- 5-7 years of recent inpatient clinical experience of medical-surgical nursing and/or critical care required
- 3-5 years demonstrated leadership ability preferred
Responsible for managing and coordinating specific clinical programs or services. This position involves overseeing nursing staff, implementing program initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Functions- Lead the development and implementation of clinical programs or services, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff within the program.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff assigned to the program.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives related to the program, analyzing performance metrics and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals from various disciplines, including physicians, social workers, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care within the program.
- Collect and analyze relevant data related to program outcomes and performance.
- Prepare regular reports for leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing required and Master’s Degree Nursing preferred
