Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Gwinnett County, GA

Location: Gwinnett County, GA (30024)
Schedule: Full time
- surgery schedule (7AM - 5:30 PM) and clinic schedule (8:30 AM - 5PM)

The client is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work in a Spine/Neurosurgery or related surgical practice
. The ideal candidate should be able to support both clinic duties and surgical/OR responsibilities
.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients in a clinic setting (approx. 20 patients per day)

• Assist surgeons in the operating room (approx. 3 surgeries per day)

• Provide pre-operative assessments and patient preparation

• Perform post-operative follow-up and management

• Collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with standards

• Work both surgery schedule (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and clinic schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) as assigned

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (No new graduates)

• First Assist experience - able to support surgeons during operations (suturing, retracting, handling instruments, closing incisions, etc.)

• Trauma care experience or strong comfort with high-acuity surgical patients

• Experience in spine, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, or other surgical specialties preferred

• Ability to perform pre-op and post-op assessments

• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
