The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) III provides professional nursing care centered on patient and family needs, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Completes documentation, assists with procedures, and monitors patient responses.
Engages patients, families, and caregivers in care coordination and leads responses to medical emergencies.
Manages IV therapy, medication administration, and provides health education and counseling.
Participates in quality improvement, departmental training, and mentoring new staff.
Performs procedures independently under provider supervision and conducts outreach follow-up calls.
Contributes to performance improvement initiatives and utilizes advanced clinical skills for patient care, education, and consultation.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum three years of RN clinical experience, with two years in a specialty area.
Associates degree in nursing, High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Georgia RN license and BLS certification required.
Preferred: BSN degree and specialty certification within one year of hire.
