Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, or quality assurance
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, FMEA, SPC)
  • Experience working with metals and/or plastics preferred
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence external partners
Principal Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks
  • Monitor and analyze supplier quality performance for raw materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, copper, plastics) and purchased components.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier-related quality issues.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to qualify new suppliers and materials.
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting dashboards.
  • Support incoming inspection strategies, including inspection plans and sampling methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with key suppliers to reduce defects, variability, and cost of poor quality.
  • Ensure suppliers meet company specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
