WR Trades Associate , II and III-Meter Repair

Overview

This position is responsible for maintenance and repairs related to the meter services/repair group. Employees generally work independently performing water meter related maintenance and repairs and interact face‑to‑face with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspect equipment and materials for proper installation and potential hazards.
• Replace, install, and test residential and commercial meters.
• Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders.
• Assist customers with on‑site questions and concerns regarding utility services.
• Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings.
• Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials.
• Work in confined spaces; it may involve squatting, kneeling, lifting, and excavating with shovels and hand tools.
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.

• Job is safety sensitive and requires a pre‑employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
• Job may require on‑call rotation and emergency after‑hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – to be obtained within 12 months of employment.

• Salary $38,098.00 – $59,052.00 annually.
• High School Diploma, or GED (or equivalent).
• No prior experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CDL to be obtained within 12 months.

• Salary $44,968.00 – $71,948.00 annually.
• High School Diploma, or GED.
• At least two years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CDL to be obtained within 12 months.

• Salary $53,286.00 – $85,258.00 annually.
• High School Diploma, or GED.
• At least four years of related work experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CDL to be obtained within 12 months.
