Are you passionate about building robust automation systems that bridge the gap between software and physical hardware? Do you excel in distributed architectures and industrial IoT protocols? We are looking for a skilled Middle Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and elevate our test automation strategy.
What You Will Do- Framework Design:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for complex software systems. - Test Suite Creation:
Create and maintain comprehensive automated UI, API, integration, and system-level test suites. - Hardware & IoT Testing:
Develop automation solutions for distributed systems, including hardware-connected and industrial environments. - Protocols & Interfaces:
Test software integrations with OPC UA and other modern communication interfaces. - E2E Integration:
Design and execute end-to-end integration testing using both hardware simulators and physical hardware where applicable. - CI/CD Integration:
Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines by integrating continuous automated testing and QA processes. - Strategy & Architecture:
Contribute to the overall test automation architecture, defining best practices and long-term testing strategies. - Troubleshooting:
Analyze test results, identify critical defects, and support troubleshooting across multi-component integrated systems. - Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with software developers, technical leads, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure maximum reliability.
- Experience:
2+ years of commercial experience in software test automation or automation engineering. - Core Language:
Strong proficiency in Type Script for developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks. - UI Automation:
Hands-on experience with Playwright for advanced UI test automation. - Hardware Integration:
Proven commercial experience working with hardware-connected systems, instrumentation, laboratory equipment, industrial automation, manufacturing systems, medical devices, or similar environments. - Testing Breadth:
Strong experience testing REST APIs, distributed systems, multi-component applications, and system integrations. - Methodology & Environment:
Confident working within Agile development environments; ability to validate software using both hardware simulators and physical devices. - Desirable Pluses:
Working knowledge of C# and familiarity with OPC UA or similar industrial communication protocols is highly desirable. - Soft Skills:
Exceptional debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills, alongside excellent communication and cross-team collaboration capabilities.
