At Crete Carrier and Shaffer Trucking, our miles are up significantly. We need more safe, experienced drivers to meet the needs of our customers. Crete, Shaffer, and Hunt drivers are paid based on practical miles, which means drivers are paid for 3-5 percent more total miles per year than companies that pay based on short route miles. Speeds have been increased to 68 MPH on the cruise and 65 MPH on the pedal, helping productive drivers earn more.

The most productive 50 percent of our OTR drivers average more than $101,176 annually, equating to over $1,945 weekly; $0.64 to $0.67 CPM. The top 50% of Hunt Transportation drivers average $93,347 annually ($1,795 per week), with starting pay ranging from $0.65 to $0.68 per mile.
