Position Summary
The Transportation Supervisor for Regular Education oversees student transportation services and activities, manages staff, provides important information to others, and ensures work assignments are scheduled and completed on time and according to set standards.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver’s License with S and P endorsements within 90 days of hire
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint
- Background Clearance
- State Department of Education medical examination
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum four (4) years’ experience with a degree or eight (8) years’ experience without a degree

Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Generally ranges from 5-10 bullet points)
- Assesses incidents, complaints, and accidents to resolve or recommend resolutions.
- Conducts regular inspections to ensure work quality, performance, and staff adherence to standards.
- Coordinates with district personnel to implement and maintain services and programs.
- Directs department personnel to prioritize deadlines and ensure efficient use of staff.
- Implements assigned activities and projects to meet established guidelines and deliver services.
- Maintains inventory of cleaning, office, and first aid supplies to ensure availability and a safe, clean environment.
- Maintains personnel records and other required information to meet regulatory requirements.
- Performs administrative tasks (hiring, training, supervising) to maintain staffing levels and improve productivity.
