Position

Temporary Educational Assistant (0.8125 FTE; 6.5 hours/day; Monday–Friday). 2 positions available.

Will work with individuals or groups of students to reinforce teacher instruction. Students served may have special handicapping conditions or behavioral concerns requiring assistance for student success.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to assist with toileting may be required
• General skills in mathematics, English and writing
• Ability to work with students and adults
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children in groups or classrooms desired
• Must be NCLB qualified:
  • 2 years education at an institution of higher education
  • Associate’s degree, or
  • Successful completion of a competency assessment administered by the district on reading, writing, mathematics and instructional delivery skills

Hourly Range: $20.39 to $25.83. Placement based on years of experience. No benefits apply—temporary position.
