50/50 eligible; student must be enrolled full‑time and have at least a 2.0 GPA.
Job Summary / Basic Function- Answer phones for both English and World Languages & Cultures Departments.
- Provide office coverage.
- Assist with professor projects.
- Direct students with questions and assist them to register for classes.
- Check copiers on the 2nd EH floor for paper quantity.
- Run errands as needed.
- Create course slides to advertise on Cool Signs on the 2nd and 4th EH floors.
- Keep department information sheets and business cards stocked.
- Make copies of syllabi, assignments, and other materials for faculty and staff.
- Scan documents.
- Manage department website.
- Order and track desk copies.
- Create flyers to advertise new classes and post them around campus.
- Post flyers in EH and/or around campus.
- Maintain bulletin boards on the 1st and 4th EH floors.
- Deliver mail to faculty mailboxes on the 2nd and 4th EH floors.
- Post announcements to the English & Foreign Language Facebook page.
- File documents.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good time‑management skills and work ethic (punctual and reliable).
- Efficient typing skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Phone etiquette.
- Computer literacy:
Microsoft Word, Facebook, etc.

Physical RequirementsStanding for extended periods, moving between work sites, lifting up to 20 lbs occasionally, and performing repetitive wrist, hand, and finger motions.
