JOB SUMMARY:

As a part of the Revenue Strategy team for Smith Entertainment Group, the Revenue Strategy Analyst will play a supporting role in driving the strategic direction of the Revenue Department, with a focus on corporate partnerships for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth. This position will perform various aspects of data collection, analysis, and reporting to help identify opportunities for revenue growth and to direct revenue strategy.

The role will provide insight to our business development, corporate partnerships, and media sales teams while using multiple analytics and data software platforms. The right candidate will communicate well with stakeholders across multiple internal teams, be a strong problem-solver, a quick-learner, and will have experience working with large datasets.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform day-to-day operations as part of the Revenue Strategy team.
• Provide analysis, research, and support teams with market research, recaps, and other relevant ad hoc analyses.
• Analyze data to find insights to help meet business objectives.
• Present insights and data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders via data visualization tools.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, statistics, math, economics, finance, computer science, or another related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a relevant sports or analytics field.
• Experience with data analytics tools, such as SQL/Python/R.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Domo.
• A self-starter who is analytically minded with excellent attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
• This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
• This person must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
