Repairs Coordinator – Housing Repairs and Maintenance
Full‑time, fixed‑term for 12 months. Join our fast‑paced team to coordinate repairs and maintenance across Bristol City Council’s tenanted housing and empty properties, ensuring they meet quality standards and are ready for tenants.
Responsibilities- Arrange and coordinate repairs for residents, ensuring "Right First Time" delivery.
- Organise maintenance on empty properties to prepare them for new tenants.
- Act as the main point of contact for on‑site colleagues, providing support and resolving issues.
- Monitor repair progress on the day, identifying and resolving any delays.
- Collaborate with Trade Specific Managers, Supervisors and other Housing & Landlord Services departments (Rents, Lettings, Estates, Citizen Contact Centre) to deliver timely, high‑quality service.
- Experience in a customer‑service role and ability to communicate effectively with residents and stakeholders.
- Strong team player capable of working cross‑departmentally.
- Adept at prioritising tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Familiarity with repair workflows and systems is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and able to learn bespoke in‑house IT systems.
- Awareness of social housing issues and understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies.
- Flexibility to work a 37‑hour week, Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm.
