General Surgery Opportunity in Northeast Utah
General Surgery – A General “Bread and Butter” Surgeon is needed for a two‑year period to replace a surgeon who is planning to retire in the summer of 2011 until a new resident steps in starting in the summer of 2013.
Ideal candidate is experienced, self‑directed, and capable of performing a wide range of procedures. The applicant should also be willing and able to perform scopes.
Scope of Practice- General surgery
- Trauma
- Thoracic
- Colo‑rectal
- Plastics
- Other procedures as desired
Contract calls for around $325k per year, plus a bonus of 95% of revenue generated by the practice, plus pay for call and a full benefits package as a hospital employee.
Sign‑on bonus available. Call is paid if the surgeon has 24/7 coverage: $115 per day during weekdays, $230 for a weekend day (including Friday), and $275 for a holiday. Call coverage ratio is 1:2.
