Job SummaryThe Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) programs at SLCC offer introductory courses into the fields of Occupational and Physical therapy. We are looking for a faculty to teach these intro courses. Classes may be taught in person, online, or through Concurrent Enrollment off site at partnering High Schools.
This is a pooled position. The department reviews applications as positions become available.
This position is paid at $1,056 per instructional unit.

- In accordance with SLCC policy, adjunct positions are offered on a semester‑by‑semester basis with no guarantee of continued employment.
- Official transcripts are required for those who are offered employment within 30 days of hire.
- Effectively prepare and teach Occupational Therapy Assistant classes as stipulated in the course syllabi.
- Maintain accurate and complete student attendance records, grades, and other classroom documentation as applicable. Grades must be maintained on the College’s learning management system.
- Demonstrate a depth of knowledge and understanding in the field of occupational therapy.
- Participate in trainings and other responsibilities as assigned and approved.
- Respond to department and college communication within two business days.
- Accept other duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
All Faculty will maintain an on‑site campus presence to encourage in‑person relationships and create engaging, meaningful, and impactful learning experiences unless approved for online‑only courses.
You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member/Instructor on a contract‑to‑contract basis, with no future expectation or obligation for employment.
Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time.
You are required to maintain professional boundaries with all SLCC students.
Minimum Qualifications- Associate’s degree
- Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapist in the state of Utah.
- Nationally certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapist.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Evidence of formal teaching experience.
- Evidence of a variety of clinical experiences.
