Adjunct Instructor of German

Part‑time adjunct instructor of German responsible for teaching lower‑division (1000–2000 level) language classes each semester during the academic year 2026‑27. Deliver instruction to university students and collaborate with other instructors. Class modalities may be flexible, including hybrid or virtual options. Instructors will use the provided syllabus, follow the course scope‑and‑sequence, and develop lesson plans that align with unit and course assessment objectives.

• Master’s degree in German or related field.
• One year of German teaching experience at the college level; or extensive experience at the secondary level may also be considered.
• Evidence of at least Advanced High in the ACTFL proficiency scale.

• Background check is required.

Standing for extended periods; moving about to accomplish tasks, including long distances or moving between locations. Expressing or exchanging ideas, conveying detailed instructions quickly or accurately. Receiving detailed information with or without assistance.

Light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 lbs of force, frequently up to 10 lbs, or a negligible amount constantly. Use of arm or leg controls with forces greater than sedentary work.

Including color, depth perception, and field of vision. Required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, using a computer terminal, extensive reading.
