Job Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for directing, or assisting to direct, a competitive sport program and meeting the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) requirements. The coach serves as a mentor and positive role model for all students.

• Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Develop athletes and foster a strong, competitive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and classroom excellence.
• Mentor, train, and educate student athletes in sport-specific skills and techniques.
• Promote a winning culture both on and off the field.
• Teach safety and injury prevention to student athletes.
• Understand UHSAA requirements and regulations.
• Maintain program traditions and engage an involved community.
• Pass a background check through Granite School District.
• Hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete required trainings and certifications, including anti‑bullying/hazing, concussion, and First Aid/CPR.

Prior coaching experience:
Minimum 1 year playing and/or coaching.

Compensation:
Stipend Only.

Current teachers under contract with Granite School District need not apply; contact the school to express coaching interest.

Coaches have significant unsupervised access to students and must pass a background check before serving. Granite School District covers the cost of this check.
