Employment Requirements

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date.

Role Player for Scenarios with the SLCC Peace Office Certification Academy.

• Assist with portrayal of real‑life situations for law enforcement academy training purposes.
• Maintain a professional demeanor when in contact with students and instructors.
• Become familiar with and abides by all college policies, prioritizing those that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments.
• Conduct evaluations of student performance and provide appropriate and timely feedback.
• Maintain student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades.
• Inform students of progress‑to‑date periodically and assign and submit grades by published deadlines.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment.
• Maintain professional and collegial behavior, appearance, and etiquette as defined by discipline and/or college procedure.
• Complete all required employee trainings and enforce FERPA guidelines.
• Provide ADA accommodations as requested.

• High School Education or equivalent.

• Appropriate certification where needed:
  Peace Officer, Corrections Officer, Firearms instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Radar instructor, SFST Instructor, BA/Intoxilyzer Instructor, and Post Certified Instructor.

This position is subject to a successful completion of a criminal background check.
