Charter College is looking to add a Full-Time HVAC Instructor to teach our 5-week classes with flexible day and evening schedules, Monday–Thursday. If you are ready to use your HVAC experience to shape the next generation of HVAC Technicians, we want to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction per the required curriculum
- Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods, or develop them as directed
- Maintain a daily lesson plan
- Monitor and document student attendance and retention as required
- Grade assignments and return feedback to students in a timely manner
- Provide educational assistance during scheduled office hours or by appointment
- Substitute in classes when necessary
- Advise students on school policies and satisfactory academic performance
- Monitor equipment and supply inventory in secured facilities
- Maintain professional expertise through seminars, current literature, and online courses to meet accreditation standards
- Attend all mandatory meetings and serve on assigned committees
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Perform other duties as required
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC experience (Required)
- HVAC certification preferred
- Prior teaching or instructional experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Must be able to work day or evening shifts Monday–Thursday
- Must be able to commute to or relocate to Sandy, UT 84070 prior to starting
- $68,640–$72,800 annually to start, DOE
- Day or Evening shifts | Monday–Thursday
- 32 hours on campus per week including class time and office hours
- 8 hours of online work per week
