The Wonder Schoolhouse is looking for a caring, dependable, and engaging Early Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are hiring both a Lead Teacher ($17-20/hr) and a Co-Teacher ($15-17/hr) for this age group.

Early preschool children are curious, playful, and learning new skills every day. They need teachers who are warm, patient, organized, and excited to help them grow. At The Wonder Schoolhouse, we believe children learn through play, creativity, exploration, and strong relationships.

• Keep children safe and cared for at all times
• Build kind and respectful relationships with children
• Help children learn through play, art, music, movement, books, and hands‑on activities
• Support children with daily routines like meals, bathroom help, rest time, and cleanup
• Teach children how to follow directions, use kind words, take turns, and solve problems
• Help children grow in independence and confidence
• Keep the classroom clean, organized, and ready for learning
• Talk with families in a kind and professional way
• Work closely with your teaching team and school leaders
• Follow school policies and licensing rules

• Plan and lead classroom activities and learning experiences
• Guide the flow of the day and classroom routines
• Take the lead on classroom organization and setup
• Help support and guide the co‑teacher
• Notice what the class needs and help create a calm, joyful environment

• Support the lead teacher with classroom activities and routines
• Help prepare materials and keep the classroom running smoothly
• Step in wherever help is needed during the day
• Work as a strong team member and build positive relationships with children

• Someone who truly enjoys working with young children
• A patient, calm, and positive attitude
• Someone reliable who shows up on time
• A teacher who is nurturing, playful, and able to hold kind boundaries
• Good communication skills with children, families, and coworkers
• Someone organized, observant, and ready to be part of a team
• Someone open to learning and growing

• Must be able to work in an active classroom with young children
• Must be able to bend, kneel, sit on the floor, and stand often throughout the day
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or must be completed after hire
• Experience in early childhood is preferred
• Lead teacher candidates should have stronger classroom leadership experience
