Job Summary

  • Responsible for process capability, cost reduction and continuous improvement project implementation within their designated manufacturing cell.
  • Provides specific engineering work related to field of expertise with broad overlap between engineering disciplines expected.
  • Support capacity planning and growth, as well as define budgeted rates and process documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with our quality systems, policies, procedures, and best practices, and all local, state, federal and our safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function for this role.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Implements and sustains PS work process for the manufacturing cell.
  • Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards.
  • Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing cell and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.
  • Coach associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing cell and leading the autonomous maintenance process.
  • Understands top losses within the manufacturing cell and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.
  • Responsible for manufacturing cell change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.
  • Act as technical specialists advising how methods and concepts should be applied to their area and expanded to organization-wide problems and developments.
  • Plan and execute activities for multiple major or complicated projects, processes, and equipment.
  • Receive limited guidance to achieve broad objectives.
  • Represent the organization about their area of expertise, including leading presentations.
  • Develop and oversee budgets, as well as write proposals for major or complicated projects.
  • Advise and negotiate in terms of critical issues.
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Required Skills,

Education and Experience
  • BA/BS Degree Required preferred in engineering degree, mechanical, industrial, and manufacturing.
  • 5 years relevant high volume manufacturing center lining industry experience.
  • Full understanding & experience of leading an autonomous maintenance program.
  • Works extremely well with machine operators.
