Mechanical Designer

This position is part of the Salt Lake Mechanical Engineering group and will primarily work in the mining industry.

The successful applicant will design mechanical systems, create 3‑D models, and draft detailed engineering drawings. Candidates should have a positive, enthusiastic attitude, be team players, and have a willingness to learn continuously.

• Experience with Autodesk drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Inventor)
• Mechanical equipment layout, piping design, material handling, and structural support systems (desired)
• Self‑motivated with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Analytical, detail oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team
• Excellent MS Excel and general computer navigation skills
• Quality‑oriented and safety conscious
• Good mechanical aptitude and creative problem‑solving skills

• Minimum post‑secondary diploma in mechanical engineering, drafting, architecture or equivalent
• Experience with Revit/BIM modeling and detailed drawing creation using Revit
• Experience with Navisworks and developing animations for presentations (asset)
• Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
