We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Tax Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience and will be responsible for managing multi-state payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payroll tax operations.

Expectations for the Role:
  • Review and correct W-2s, creating W-2C forms for compliance and accuracy. Ensure all amendments are processed timely with each state.
  • Complete tax adjustments and prior period adjustments in Workday.
  • Handle Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) credits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payroll tax operations and compliance.
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Oversee tax reconciliations, audits, and reporting processes while collaborating with internal teams to align payroll activities with organizational goals.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to resolve discrepancies, implement system updates, and respond to tax agency inquiries.
  • Continuously monitor changes in payroll tax laws to mitigate risks and enhance compliance processes.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes and prepare inter-company reconciliations.
What you should bring:
  • Knowledge and experience in multi-state tax filings and local agencies.
  • Knowledge of how to set up new accounts when needed.
  • Understanding of tax reciprocity.
  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll tax or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Workday or similar payroll systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Degree in Accounting preferred.

  • 401K:
    Bridge Investment Group will contribute to your account equal to 100% of the first 4% of pay which you contribute to the plan. These contributions belong 100% to the employee upon their contribution. Eligible employees are automatically enrolled contributing 4%, with up to 6% company match, with the option to opt out.
    * The employee must be at least 21 years of age and have worked for the Company for at least 60 days.
  • Paid Time Off:
    Employee will accrue 5.23 hours of paid time off per pay period for a total of 17 days per year.
  • 11 Paid Holidays per year.
  • Following six (6) months of employment at the Company, you will be eligible per birth, adoption or placement of a child for four (4) weeks of paid parental leave as the primary caregiver to the child or two weeks of paid parental leave as the secondary caregiver to the child. Following two years of employment at the Company, you will be eligible for twelve weeks of paid parental leave per birth, adoption, or placement of a child if you are the primary caregiver of the child.
  • Tuition Reimbursement:
    Up to $5,000 per year of pre-approved tuition expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of approved documentation. Repayment obligations may apply if employment terminates prior to 24 months.
